Dear Residents,
PC Latter and PC Cartwright have continued to patrol the Rural Ward of Tunbridge Wells in the last couple of weeks.
We attended the Goudhurst Community Lunch which is run by volunteers and provides a much needed, and much loved, lunch to the local residents and a chance to chat, make friends and offers to support to the residents. It provided us with a great opportunity to speak to people about any concerns and offer support and reassurance.
We also attended the Kiln Down coffee morning where we were able to speak to the residents of Kiln Down and identify and discuss any issues currently affecting local people. This ensures that the voices of those in a small village are heard and that we can continue to address concerns effectively.
These conversations are invaluable in helping us build stronger relationships and tailor our policing approach to meet the needs of the community.
We made contact with the owner of a derelict building in the local area to be secured, reducing the risk of arson, criminal damage, and anti-social behaviour.
We also responded to numerous 999 calls in the Tunbridge Wells area and other calls that local residents had made to police.
We will continue to prioritise visible patrols and community engagement to support reassurance and problem-solving within the area.
If you have any events, large or small, or any issues you would like us to concentrate on, please make contact.
Remember, we will be available at our drop-in session at Florence's Tea Rooms, Goudhurst on Wednesday 5th August at 1100 hours.
Until next time, stay safe
Lauren and Kady
